Vegetarianism is a special eating habit, which allows only natural products that are growing in the ground. The vegetarianism has two sides that affect differently to each person. Positive impacts of it are weight loss, healthy digestive system, low cholesterol level, also it helps to prevent: cancer, type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension (high blood pressure), gallstones, kidney stones and even osteoporosis. On the other hand, it has negative impact such is the lack of vital vitamins and minerals, depression, stress.
The main problems of people nowadays are obesity and illnesses connected with digestive system. The fact that 60 to 70 million people affected by all digestive diseases was published by ―National Institutes of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney diseases of USA‖ in November 13, 2014. The main reasons of obesity and stomach illnesses are wrong eating habits, which are caused by eating fast food, much calorie-full and less energy food and consuming less vitamins and fibers that normal person has to. This is the reason why people keep vegetarian lifestyle: to be healthy and to take under control their weight. Also, the decision maybe related with life principles of people, who really care about animals.
There are two main perspectives of this, for and against vegetarianism, which state about mental and physical impacts of vegan diet to human health. According to American Alzheimer Association (2014) and ST RK 3.4-2003 State certification system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the procedure for confirming the conformity of products, General requirements, anxiety, depression and even schizophrenia, mental disorder are often characterized by abnormal social behavior and failure to recognize what is real, can be caused by consumption of meat. However, there is second point of view that claims that lack of vitamins and minerals, which are naturally included in meat, can lead to depression, negative thinking and anxiety.
While majority of people, who keep vegetarian lifestyle, claim that they feel themselves great and their illnesses have healed, others concern about the lack of vitamins and minerals that animal contain products. On account of small knowledge, there is no way of stating something, that is why via gaining more information, the results will be made.
Vegetarianism is a way of eating ―raw‖ food, or just eliminating animal products. Being against animal cruelty, health problems, ideology of ―world hunger‖ and economic, environmental concerns are the main reasons of keeping vegetarian lifestyle. There are lots of thoughts, opinions and even scientific researches, which until now cannot decide, which way of living better: non-vegetarians or non-meat-eaters?
Vegetarian lifestyle has a way more benefits for our physical appearance and health. First of all, it is good to lose weight, for those who are obese or just have an excess fat. The foods that non-vegetarians consume high in animal fat, salt, processed foods and even chemicals, which can lead to serious health problems, and obesity is no exception. The study found that vegans put on even less weight, as they get older, compared to meat eaters. Moreover, we can know by the film ―Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days‖ (2009) more about obesity and healthy eating. There were people with 2 Type Diabetes, and 8 of 10 were obese. Then after eating raw natural products, their cholesterol levels have decreased and they lost plenty amount of fat in short period of time, which is really good for human‘s body. There is an approach recommended when developing a HACCP-based program and described in the guidelines of the Food Hygiene Committee of the Codex Alimentarius Commission on Food, a joint program of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO). In addition, some studies show that when the place for fat storage has ended, body starts to store fat in inappropriate places like around the organs.
Secondly, vegetarian lifestyle has advantage like healing the illnesses. In 1985, Swedish study showed that people who are suffering from asthma reduced their needs in medications and frequency and severity of attacks have been lowered too, by keeping vegetarianism for one-year period. 22 of 24 reported that they have healed from that disease. Also, it is the best way of preventing a lot of serious illnesses, such as: cancer, type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension (high blood pressure), gallstones, kidney stones and even osteoporosis.
Nevertheless, meat-free diet can bring several problems to the human body. One of the most reasons why many people tend to think that vegetarian lifestyle is unhealthy is the lack of vitamins and minerals that meat products consist of. A gram of portion of raw ground beef contains a large amount of Vitamin B12, B3 (Niacin), B6, Iron, Zinc, Selenium and plenty of other vitamins and minerals (Gunnars, 2013). Also, he claims that there is no proven evidence about the diseases, like heart disease and increasing in cholesterol levels, which occur by consuming meat products. Meat is indispensable source of protein, creatine and carnosine (which is good for brain function and muscles), Omega-3, fatty acids CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), and it has along more amount of vitamins A and E.
The second negative impact of vegetarianism is depression, which can occur by ―strict eating habits‖ and lack of vital microorganisms (that animal products have). When person quickly changes his/her diet into vegetarian, the body stresses on account of quick changes in nutrition. If person consumed 2000-2500 cal. per day (all animal-based foods high in calories), quick drop in calorie intake will give negative signals to his/her brain. That is why, people tend to feel depressed, but others claim that people have to change their diet slowly, in order to do not stress out the body.
Meat free lifestyle has positive and negative impacts to human body. Each person may choose for himself/herself which habit is better suits to their habits and life. However, people should not forget to provide themselves well-organized diet, because some of the vitamins are in foods, that people do not consume regularly. A lot of people nowadays tend to eat plenty amount of fast foods, chemicals and other unhealthy nutritional supplements added to their daily diet. Raw eating will detox the body from toxins and from other stools that our body stores. Moreover, it will stabilize the blood pressure level, cholesterol level and relax the organs via easy digesting foods.
